BDRM Mix Update
At Blue Dot Readi-Mix, we are committed to evolving alongside our customers. To meet project demands more efficiently, we are launching a new mix nomenclature system and an updated aggregate philosophy.
Historically, complex mix codes created room for error and required heavy manual cross-checking. Our new system categorizes mixes by work type, automatically including necessary admixes like midrange and high range water reducers. This simplifies the submittal and ordering process while ensuring that everyone from the first submittal to the jobsite can identify performance characteristics at a glance.
Additionally, BDRM is moving to a combined aggregate philosophy for our larger stone mixes. This "optimized gradation" strategy improves constructability, making the concrete easier to pump, place, and finish. By reducing unstable air and improving load transfer, we aren't just making the job easier—we’re delivering a stronger, more durable product.

To kick off 2026, we’ve finalized upgrades to our automated batching software.
